Where can I learn to crochet in Chicago?

how about a nursing home close to where you live…i’m sure some of the ladies there would love to teach you….would enjoy your company and feel like they are needed
You could go to your local library and check out a crocheting basics book
Or check out your local Highschool see if they have Adult Classes or could give you information on where to go
Or an adult living center might be able to help you

Hi:
The first place I would start is at my public library and see what books they have on the subject, then I would go to the Barnes & nobels bookstore website and see what book they have on the subject, then I would go the Hobby Lobby store or Supermart ( like Wal-marts,Meijers, K-mart, or a popular art & craft and buy what I needed to crochet and see what they have on the subject as well
